I've had this disposer for about 8 months now, and it just does its job quietly and absolutely each and every time. Installation was pretty straightforward. I had a tiny concern induced by my own brain flatulence for the duration of installation, so had occasion to call their buyer service. Hold time was minimal and the lady who answered should have personally installed a few of these, as her answer was rapid and precise and at the same time, she was able to stay clear of calling me the dummy that I was. Not even a small snicker.
I've not had this disposer to threaten to clog even when, and relatively heavy loads of food do not make it sound overloaded at all. I place half a large casserole dish of lasagna via it with no complaining. The peels from ten significant russets, all at one time. 4 or five half-eaten hamburgers... I stuffed them all in the disposer prior to flipping the switch, and it eagerly ate them up. It does not even come with the usual hex tool to clear a stuck chomper, since of its special self-clearing style.
My final disposer was a 1/3 hp model of a different brand, so for this purchase I seriously thought to be receiving a 3/four hp, for the reason that I didn't want to see the sink shudder each and every time I used the disposer for more than a piece of bacon. I got the 1/2 hp model, though, given that of its really good critiques and the reality that I'm a cheapskate. I have not regretted it even once.

Just received this last night and installed it. I have subsequent to no plumbing encounter, and I located the installation to be pretty simplistic. The directions had been clear and consise and even gave generic directions to remove your present disposal which worked fine for the one particular I was replacing.
The only issue I encountered which is by no implies fault of the item is that it is psysically smaller than what it was replacing and the piping was shorter than what was on my previous disposal resulting in the connection getting as well far below and to the left. I was in a position to fix this by having a piece of pipe that had some flex on it (reminded me of bendy straws) from the neighborhood hardware shop to make up the distinction and it performs fine.
Some of the reviews gave me the impression that this can manage anything you throw at it. My knowledge with it was unique. I crammed the factor complete of fairly simple to munch greens and it struggled with it a bit at 1st but was able to handle it just fine. About what I'd anticipate for 1/2HP. And it really is dead quiet compared to other disposals I've put to use so that is great.
Also credit to Amazon. I'm a total cheapskate. So even tho I necessary this to replace a leaking disposal I decide on super saver shipping prepared to deal with the leak for a couple of weeks to save a couple of extra bucks but it arrived in a shocking 2 organization days.
