I am content with the product. I was really content with the consumer service I got from Anaheim Manufacturing,the maker of Waste King ( [...] )when I had a little installation predicament.
When installing the "cushion mount" it is tremendously essential that it be installed in the lowest possible position "the plastic of the "sink flange" should really not be visible. Disposer is impossible to attach if incorrect, a breeze if it is positioned adequately. This is not clear in the instructions.
If used as a replacement disposer, be aware that the plumbing outlet can be at a completely different height than the original. I was lucky to have the parts accessible to make the adjust.
The outlet center on the 1001 model is approx. 6 1/two inches beneath the sink bottom.
This disposer has no allen wrench fitting on the bottom to assist repair jams, a wooden spoon is recommended.

This unit was effortless to install for an average homeowner. It took about 1/two hour to remove the old unit (the hardest portion) and install the new. This thing operates great and will grind up practically something. I definitely advocate this disposer to everyone wanting a really high superior, straightforward to install, and high functioning piece of equipment.
